SoftJaw Design began with a benchtop mill, garage power, and jobs that demanded proof. The day we needed to verify a bolt-hole pattern without a CMM, we didn't buy a $100k machine — we wrote software that lets the mill measure its own work. That tool grew into BluSpot, our on-machine inspection product, and it changed how this shop runs.
Today the shop runs a Hurco VM10i with Renishaw probing. Every part is measured in the setup before it comes off the machine, and first articles ship with a full AS9102 FAIR package when you need one.
